In 2017 a small group of diverse artists explored an idea of using a station platform as a starting point and venue for an exhibition of work.

Wandsworth Common station stands as a testament to the vital role that railways have played in our collective history. It is a place where the past and present intersect, a junction of stories that echo through the ages. The railways have been a conduit for progress, a lifeline for commuters, and a symbol of our ceaseless pursuit of connections.

My series captures moments of contemplation, serenity, and interaction within the station's confines. People, diverse in their backgrounds and stories, gather here for a shared purpose, a journey, or simply to relish a pause in their day. The act of waiting, of slowing down, allows for introspection and a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of modern life. As we witness people reading, sitting, talking, and thinking, it becomes evident that this place is not just a station; it's a sanctuary. A refuge where minds find solace, where the very act of transit becomes a therapy for the soul.

It also has a great cafe!
